Pastor Jack Arnold
Senior Pastor email
Pastor Jack was born in San Jose, CA . He came down to the Central Coast to attend College at Cal Poly State University. The Lord then called him into Calvary Chapel Bible College where God grew in him a hunger for the Word, a desire to live without compromise, and a passion for evangelism and missions. Pastor Jack has been on staff since 2004, was ordained in 2008, and became Senior Pastor at the beginning of 2010, when Pastor Tonye Holyde, the founding pastor, left to plant a work in London.
Pastor Jack and Jinell were married in 2004. They have three beautiful children they are raising up in the ways of the Lord. They love serving the Lord together, the outdoors, and spending time with friends and family. A favorite verse of theirs is Proverbs 3:5-7 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil.”

Pastor Ben was born in San Jose in 1982. He was reborn when he committed his life to Jesus at the age of 16 years old. He moved to the Central Coast in 2001 for college and was brought to Shoreline Calvary Chapel by roommates (Pastor Brian being one said roommate).
Pastor Brian Plunkett
Assistant Pastor email
High School Ministry
Pastor Brian was born in San Jose to a Christian family in 1982. He grew up in Christian home and attended church regularly but it wasn't until he was 15 that he finally surrendered his life to Jesus during an altar call at a school chapel. He moved to the Central Coast in 2000 to attend Cal Poly and was invited to Shoreline Calvary Chapel by Pastor Matt Pottenger currently in Kisumu, Kenya.
After recognizing God’s calling on his life for ministry, He left Cal Poly in 2002 to attend the Bible College through Shoreline Calvary Chapel. In addition to taking Bible College classes, Pastor Brian began working with the teenagers at the church. Pastor Brian has been involved with youth ministry ever since. In 2010, he was ordained by Shoreline Calvary Chapel. Pastor Brian takes joy and is blessed by being able to work with the youth of our fellowship. He also delights in teaching classes through Shoreline Bible College.
Pastor Brian's passion is discipleship. His hope and desire is to see the youth be raised up to be more than just followers of Jesus, but servants of the Most High! His favorite verse is 1 Timothy 4:12.
When not at Shoreline, Pastor Brian loves anything that has to do with sports especially volleyball. He coaches varsity girls volleyball at Morro Bay High school and coaches club volleyball for SLO JRS volleyball club in San Luis Obispo. He is also a big fan of Christian hip-hop!
Erika Bennett
Administrative Assistant - email
Erika Bennett was born and raised in San Luis Obispo, CA. After a short time of working towards a degree at Cuesta, she felt the Lord taking her in the direction of bible college. In 2004, she began taking courses through Shoreline Calvary Chapel's Bible College where she (finally!) finished her degree in 2010.
After giving her life to the Lord at a young age, Erika found she had a heart for missions and serving the local community. Since starting to attend Shoreline in 2005, she has enjoyed being involved in many short term missions trips, outreach events, and community church events that have continued to fuel her desire to be in full time ministry. Being on staff since 2008, she has also enjoyed being able to use some of her natural gifts to bless the church body through administrative duties as well as event planning.
